Does Jelqing really work?
Yes, jelqing exercises work because they are able to expand the cavernous body of the penis.
The "cavernous body" is formed by two cylinders of a sponge-like tissue capable of containing 90% of the blood that reaches the penis in an erection.
They are a type of tissue that fills with blood and increases in both length and thickness. They are the part of the penis that causes size, hardness, maintenance and final contractions.
Jelqing exercises are the most effective way of expanding this tissue. Once the tissue has expanded it stimulates the formation of new cells and increases the capacity of the to hold more blood inside.
How to jelq correctly?
It is important to do the exercises correctly to avoid unnecessary risks and to make a gains.
- Lubricant: before starting, lubricate your penis well with a lubricant, preferably water-based one.
- Erection level: you must have an erection at 50-75%. You can't be totally erect. It's necessary for the penis to be a little relaxed so that you can make the blood flow inside it.
The right angle

Duration of jelqing exercises sessions
How many times a week do you have to do the exercises? How long does each session have to last? I'm sure you've been asking yourself these questions.
Two to five sessions a week are necessary. Personally, I like to do 3 sessions a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) leaving 24 hours of space between each of them so that the tissues recover. The optimal duration of each session is between 20-30 minutes, depending on the intensity.
Each jelq should last about 3 seconds at first. As you get used to the exercises you can extend them up to 10 seconds per jelq, to work the thickness of the penis.
To work the penis well in all directions, do not hesitate to use different grip. The basic grasp in the form of "ok" is fundamental, but don't forget to do it with both hands, or use other grasps such as the "V" shape to vary from time to time, and break with the habit of the penis.
Jelqing step by step
Grip in the form of OK: the fingers and index finger of your hand must make the OK signal. And with this grip you have to hold your penis.
- Step 1: Movement: begin to make the movement towards the glans, with a firm and slow pressure. It doesn't have to hurt, but it has to be strong enough to move blood to the glans.
- Step 2: When arriving to the glans: each jelq can take between 2-3 seconds normally or between 5-10 seconds if you want to work the thickness.
- Step 3: Stop by the glands: then repeat the jelqs until you reach a full 20-minute session.
Training more days than needed or longer than needed will make your results worse. One of the basic rules of both muscle growth and cell growth is that rest is the period during which cells repair and therefore growth occurs. You have to let your penis rest to grow. Exercising every day will run out of exercise and give you no room to repair the cells that make up the tissues of your penis.
Types of jelqings
There are different types of jelqing that we can make.
Wet jelqing is the most common. It is made with the help of lubricant to deduce friction between the hand and the penis. Never use gel or shampoo instead of lubricant, as the products they contain may irritate your skin.

The lateral jelqing

This variant emphasizes the thickness and sides of the penis. It is done by grasping the penis with the index and middle fingers with the palm of your hand facing you. You grab the penis with these two fingers forming a V.
Jelqing at one hand
Jelqing a hand is as simple as its name suggests. It is done with only one hand, instead of alternating between the two. Before doing each jelg it is advisable to press down to the base of the pubis.
Are they dangerous or have any side effects?
No. These exercises are safe and without side effects if done correctly. If you warm your penis beforehand and if you don't over train it, there is nothing to worry about. In addition, as you get practice and experience it is even possible to skip the preheating.
Conversely, if you don't follow the recommendations, some side effects may appear:
Red dots: If you exercise regularly, you may see small red dots appear on your skin as a result of the break of small blood capillaries. This is not a serious side-effect to be worried about, but in order to avoid them we recommend very gradual sessions. In this way we will allow the blood capillaries to enlarge their size little by little.
The doughnut effect: is a common side effect that occurs on the skin surrounding the glans. Sometimes it swells and causes a doughnut or float around the glans to appear temporarily, disappearing within a few hours. In any case, in order to avoid this, it is necessary to jelq until the end of the glans, so that all the blood flows and circulates from beginning to end. If you stop the jelq in the middle of the penis shaft the blood stays stagnant in the same place and the doughnut appears.
Little scars may appear on the large one. They are not a worrying symptom either, but they are a sign that the glans is gaining in size. If you want to avoid them, you can use moisturizer to make the glans skin suppler.
Jelqings and kegels
As you may know, kegels are muscular exercises of the perineum. These are contractions that cause more blood to flow into the penis. It's that contraction we make when we want to cut the stream while we're peeing.
Well, jelqing and kegels complement each other. Before each jelq a kegel contraction must be made to send more blood to the penis. After sending the blood, we catch that blood with the OK grip and carry it forward to the glans.
Jelqings and stretching
Jelqings and stretches are also two complementary exercises. When we perform a jelq we are also performing a stretch of the penile ligaments forward. However, it is necessary to take a few days off from the jeqings and dedicate them only to stretching to gain more lenght.

Vacuum pumps are not enough to enlarge the penis on their own, but they can be used before and after jelqings.
